Béatrice Sorrieul's teams (Higher Health Executive of the CHRU of Brest) were eager to present their daily use ofAugmented ear for caregivers in their services, and the way in which this innovative device has changed the organization of their service with fewer systematic rounds.
Health workers at the center report significant time savings, and faster intervention when the situation is identified as urgent. This unique solution in the world aims to improve Quality of Work Life for Caregivers, by offering them effective support in detecting various alerts, and in evaluating their criticality.
In addition to their observations and diagnoses, the alert history provides health professionals with additional data to monitor the effectiveness or otherwise of a treatment, or to prevent the onset of certain health problems.
90 different types of sounds are detected by the box, allowing complete and personalized care for residents. A team of fifteen Data Labelers, specialized in analyzing sounds and training the device to recognize the nature of the sounds it detects, works daily to allow artificial intelligence to effectively identify alerts and learn independently, as explained by Vincent Geffroy, Head of the “data labellers” team at OSO-AI.
Backed by the support provided to health professionals at the René Fortin Center, all OSO-AI teams are committed on a daily basis to a process of continuous improvement of the system, in order to respond ever more precisely to needs and feedback from the field.
